Customer Service and Logistics Manager

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England (£25k per year)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service / Logistics Manager based just north of Cambridge with free parking. This family-owned business has been successfully growing since 1958 and has recently partnered with a global leader in the industry.

This is a full-time permanent position working with the global leaders in porcine genetics. You will be working closely with the UK General Manager responsible for efficient logistics and professional customer service.

Key Duties:

  • Receiving and placing product orders with the relevant studs.
  • Organising efficient dispatch of products through a fleet of courier vans monitored through Fleetmatics.
  • Working with the dispatch team to assist with pack and distribution.
  • Work closely with invoicing to ensure volumes shipped are reported and reconciled monthly or as needed.
  • Interaction with customers in a professional manner via phone and email.

Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • Experience working in a customer services environment is essential.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft office and excel.
  • Experience in order processing software is an advantage.

Additional Information:

  • 5-day working week to include Saturdays, day in lieu for Saturday.
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
