Role Outline

To manage the commercial events whilst maintaining the existing customer base and expanding external business.

Key Duties

  • Maintain and build on existing relationships with customers and maintain a sales and marketing strategy
  • Develop and maintain customer databases, the diary of events and the Catering and Accommodation Database
  • Liaise with customers both before and after an event including the communication of the event requirements to those responsible for servicing and delivering the customer requirements
  • Follow up enquiries generated
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that administrative procedures are adhered to
  • Observe all recognised safety procedures together with the Health and Safety Policy

Skills & Experience

  • A recognised qualification having obtained a degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management
  • Relevant experience in a similar senior role
  • Efficient time management and attention to detail is essential
  • A high standard of computing including MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in management, maintenance and reporting from a database is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Additional hours may be required at key times of the year
