Role Outline

To help expand the brand in the city whilst continuing to develop and nurture relationships with local SME businesses. You must be able to pitch, with passion, and engage your clients with the vision and benefits of the brand.

We are looking for;

  • Experience (ideally within b2b sales) and enthusiastic about operations, believe in the concept and brand mission and get excited about taking on huge challenges
  • You must be confident, self-driven, have strong prioritisation skills and willing to proactively suggest and implement solutions without oversight
  • Happy to go the extra mile when required. This could include working over the weekend and during bank holidays to complete the launch of a new city
  • Great local knowledge of the Cambridge City area. You know where students live, shop, hang out and work and are savvy with how the local business ecosystem operates. If you don’t have this knowledge, you are willing to pick it up before coming on the job (this would involve investigating the Cambridge City area in your own time)

What the job involves;

  • Working with the Cambridge BD Manager, you’ll be focused on rapidly creating impact as the brand launches and grows in Cambridge
  • As one of our first BD Associates, you will have a significant impact on shaping the brand’s territory expansion across other UK cities
  • You’ll communicate regularly with our Partners to understand how the brand is working for them and implement change where necessary. You’ll be the recognisable face of the brand in Cambridge
  • You’ll work closely with our data analysts to drive the initial strategy of where we launch within Cambridge and help to identify the right areas and right new Partners to reach users, leveraging data to make the best decisions
  • You will take full responsibility with supporting the office-based Growth and Success Teams and Cambridge-based campus directors. This might mean making sure our Partners have the POS materials they require or running a pop-up event
  • You will scout out optimal Partners to approach and visit our Partners regularly
  • You will be expected to spend at least 50% of your time on the ground in Cambridge. The other 50% of your time can be worked fully remotely (UK timezone) or from HQ in London.
