A fantastic opportunity has arisen assisting with the business development of finance degree programmes for a prestigious department within the HE sector.

This is a fixed term contract based in central Cambridge with good links to public transport and offering a generous holiday package.

The role will focus on establishing, growing, and maintaining relationships between the programme and external companies who have the potential to recruit finance professionals. The role will also include leading projects and events related to recruitment as well other careers focused activities involving industry outreach and engagement.

Key Duties

  • Identify portfolio of companies to target for internships and permanent employment
  • Match students’ and organisations’ needs, plan BD/employer outreach activities accordingly
  • Develop proposals and manage delivery of informational and networking activities
  • Develop strong relationships to aid referral programmes for projects, internships and employment
  • Research, analyse and report on global finance recruitment trends and employment prospects
  • Lead employers-focused programmes and events

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrable understanding of the finance labour market including recruitment procedures
  • Experience in career mentoring, development, coaching or training
  • The ability to design and facilitate career events, and strong programme management and communication skills are key enablers of this role
  • Demonstrated initiative and flexibility; ability to multi-task, work successfully and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced, customer service environment
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; experience with virtual learning environments, remote coaching tools (Skype), social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, online discussion boards) desirable
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours in support of student provision and recruitment events

Location: City Centre  

Vacancy: 9 month FTC

Hours: 37-40hrs per week
