Events Assistant

Would you like to be part of an exciting small knit and growing hospitality business that value their team?

Our client is looking for someone who will support in building the Events and Conference side of the business.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience in events and marketing within the hospitality arena.

This is a hands-on varied role between office administration/ marketing and supporting the event on the day.

Key Duties

  • Searching out new customers and looking after existing database
  • Quote preparation
  • Event activity monitored through monthly targets
  • Recruiting casual staff for the event
  • Running the event itself and making sure it exceeds their customer’s expectations
  • Generally helping the team in the office and kitchen with day to day administration as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • A professional manner including excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • An ability to juggle conflicting and changing priorities whilst always meeting deadlines and remaining calm under pressure
  • A natural team player capable of dealing with people across a variety of backgrounds
  • A good knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • Marketing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Events: 2 years (Preferred)

Additional information

Salary £18,500k and a bonus opportunity of up to £3,000 pa.

Permanent, Full time.

Hours: 40 hours a week minimum, working 5 days out of 7 including some weekend working and unsociable hours.

Company pension

Full, clean driving licence required.
