Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced administrator, preferably with an HR background, to work for a fantastic research and consultancy company based in Cambridge. This is a temporary assignment for 3-6 months, working full-time with the option of hybrid working.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR team, across a variety of projects, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate substantial experience of working in a support-based role (Admin/EA/PA) within a commercial setting. Previous experience within HR would be advantageous.  This is a very fast paced working environment that is driven by process, so the ability to be flexible, have a can-do attitude and follow instruction is essential.

You will need to be a competent user of MS Office including Teams and SharePoint and be comfortable working with databases and HR related systems. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a HR team responsible for providing HR support to 100+ employees based in London and Cambridge
  • Conduct an audit of HR data, identify gaps in employee data, work with the team to ensure gaps are rectified
  • Support ongoing improvement of the HR SharePoint site for both HR Teams use and for employees to access key HR information
  • Support the performance and development review process which is currently underway, collating responses and reporting on outcomes – development needs and performance scores by function to senior managers
  • Work on other HR communication projects, involving generation of letters to all employees
  • Provide cover for HR Coordinator when on annual leave (end July) with the HR administration of new starters leavers etc. and overseeing the HR mailbox

Key Skills and Experience

  • Background in administration either EA or HR within fast paced commercial environment
  • Ideally degree qualified
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
  • Use of DocuSign
  • Experience of using HR and Applicant Tracking Systems an advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Discrete, confidential, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across all levels and areas of the business
  • CIPD membership would be advantageous
